When I place my order how long will shipping take? Most parts are in stock and will ship the following business day. (Most stock roll pans will ship within 48 hrs).   Example – If you live on the East Coast shipping time is about 5-6 business days. How will I know if my part is on backorder? We will contact you by e-mail or phone on the approximate time your order will be on backorder and the time of shipping. When should I schedule my truck to go into the body shop for installation and/or painting? Always have all the parts you plan to install in hand before you make an appointment with the shop. This saves time and headaches for you and the painter. Should I test fit my part before having it painted? YES!! Always check the fit before doing any modifications to the roll pan. NOTE: Any part that has been modified CAN NOT be returned. How come my roll pan fits tighter than my friends roll pan on the same style truck? SIR MICHAELS uses a laser to make all roll pans with the tightest tolerances. Unfortunately not all trucks are consistent in production and can be slightly off. What if my truck is hit in the rear and now I want to add a roll pan? Depending upon the damage, you will need to purchase the roll pan and fix the truck to match the lines on the roll pan. Repairing the damage first may not allow correct fit of the roll pan. Can I weld on my bolt-on roll pan? YES. Most bolt-on roll pans will weld up nicely to the body. EXCLUDING late model Ford F-150/350 roll pans with urethane or fiberglass end caps. WARNING:Due to the popularity of Sir Michaels products and the fact that most truck owners prefer to buy U.S. Made products, "several companies are claiming they are making, or are authorized to make, Sir Michaels Roll Pans or other Sir Michaels products." The truth is that we manufacture all our own products here in the U.S. Unlike our competitors, we never contract out, and never have products made over seas! We hope this clears up any confusion created by deceptive sales people that will say anything to make a sale. Which is better? A tailgate skin or just using a filler plate to fill the tailgate handle hole. When available, a tailgate skin gives you a true smooth tailgate without using a lot of body filler. Why does my roll pan fit perfectly but my taillight fillers fit so poorly? All SIR MICHAELS products are made in the USA by American Craftsmen and the taillight fillers are made in Taiwan. Therefore they DO NOT have the same quality as a SIR MICHAELS product. Why do we sell these fillers if they are not of good quality? We offer select roll pans with distinct styles of taillights already in them so we needed a way to shave the stock taillights. How long should it take to bolt on my roll pan? Depending upon the application, some require about 30 minutes. Some others may require 60-90 minutes. What if I’m missing parts when I receive my roll pan? Contact us immediately. We cannot be responsible for lost labor. Double check all parts before installing or taking them to your body shop. I have a tailgate skin on my truck already. Can I still install a handle relocater? Some trucks require the relocater to be installed before the skin. Check your application to be sure. What if the part I purchased is beyond my ability to install? First check with a qualified body shop to arrange installation. If you still do not want to get into the project then you can call to return the part. I am not too happy with the product. How can I return it? We try our best to make all our customers happy but in the event that you would like to return the part ( within 30 days ) Please call the Return Dept. at 1-800-900-4944 to receive an RGA number ( Return Goods Authorization Number). What if I received my part and it is damaged? If you received your part damaged call UPS immediately. All damage claims must be made to the UPS driver at time of receiving. Does my roll pan come with a cut out to access a tow hitch? Vehicles that we offer a hidden hitch for do have the cut out for the hitch. How is my order shipped? All order are shipped via UPS Ground. If faster service is needed call 1-800-900-4944 to make arrangements. What exactly comes with the Cadillac housing kit? Kit comes with the Cadillac taillight weld-in bucket. For certain vehicles we offer taillight fillers, which you weld over stock taillight holes (Sold Separately). Do you offer a tailgate skin with the license box already installed? We offer the tailgate skin and license box separately so you and the body shop can arrange to install to your preference. Can I get a roll pan with the license box off to the side? For most applications we offer a blank roll pan for which you can purchase the license box separately and arrange to have installed to your preference. Does the license plate box hang down below the roll pan? Yes. The license plate box will hang off the roll pan 3/4 - 1 1/2 " depending on the application. Why do some roll pans taper down to the license plate box and some don’t? Most fiberglass roll pans taper down. This does not give a smooth look to overall look of the vehicle. Why does my tailgate skin not cover the whole tailgate? Most of our tailgate skins DO NOT cover the whole tailgate because the end result would look like the tailgate is taller than the top edge of the bed. Why can’t I get a roll pan with a license plate box on my 73-87 full-size Blazer? The fuel tank on the full-size Blazer is located very far back and the license plate box would hit the fuel tank. Why after installing my hitch does my spare tire not fit into its location? Because of the large factory spare there is not enough room between the hitch and the axle. Therefore you must downsize the tire size to retain spare.
