For best results, please read all instructions thoroughly prior to attempting installation of your SIR MICHAELS bolt-on steel roll pan. SIR MICHAELS recommends the use of approved hand, eye and ear safety equipment while performing this installation.  If you have any questions concerning the installation of your SIR MICHAELS steel roll pan, please contact our customer service department at (714) 379-6800, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).

NOTE: Any part that is modified and/or painted are non returnable.

1. Remove rear bumper and hitch if equipped. (Installation photos shown on 1995 4-door Tahoe) On all Suburban and Tahoes, the frame horns must be cut back to allow the roll pan to fit flush with the body. Fig 1 & 2. The frame also must be tapered back. Fig 3 & 4.  Care must be taken not to taper to far back. If using a Sir Michaels tow hitch, a hole must be drilled in the frame.  NOTE: On Suburban and two door Tahoes, a ½” strip needs to be trimmed off the gas tank mount for added clearance.  Remove the plastic tailgate sill protector plate from door/tailgate jam.  This will need to be notched later to clear for the mounting brackets on the rollpan.

2. Apply masking tape to the sides of the body to protect from scratches during test fitting.  Test fit roll pan up to the body, lining up roll pan with the bottom of the truck.  Using the #8 screwsprovided, mount the roll pan at the top, screwing into doorsill. Fig 5.  To mount the sides, secure the roll pan by using the two #8 screws and mounting the inside roll pan lip to the factory lip on the vehicle. Fig. 6

3.  After test fitting, remove roll pan from vehicle to be prepped for paint.  A lite coat of body filler is used to fill the seams around the license plate and at the end of the roll pan.  For good paint adhesion, sand down the roll pan completely before applying any primer or paint.

4. After roll pan has been color matched, install the license plate lite using the two #8 screws (DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN SCREWS). Snap in the plastic nuts into the square holes in the license plate box.  Install your license plate with the two phillips head screws provided.

5. To wire up the license plate lite, connect one wire to the parking lite wire from the taillites and the other wire must be grounded to the frame. The factory bumper light plug will also work. (Fig 7)

6. The factory plastic door sill will need to be notched to clear for the mounting tabs on the roll pan. (Fig 8)
